Data Trimmer

Trims data by removing unwanted characters such as letters, numbers, spaces or symbols. It can also be used to extract specific data from a set of data.

Usage

  1. Input field for the left value of Range Slider.
  2. Input field for the right value of Range Slider.
  3. Range Slider is used for adjusting what data to remove or extract.
  4. Menu for showing:
    • Strip Whitespace - Strip or remove the leading and trailing spaces.
    • Inverse - reverse the data display. The selected area will be removed and the rest will be merged and displayed.
  5. Button for trimming the data.
  6. Button to clear all the content in the left panel area.
  7. Button to select all the content in the right panel area.
  8. Button to clear all the content in the right panel area.
  9. Left panel area for data input.
  10. Right panel area for processed data.

How to trim a data

  1. Copy and paste data on left panel(9) as shown on the screenshot.
  2. Use the Range Slider(3) and adjust to specifc range by moving the left and right points.
  3. The dropdown menu(4) allows to remove leading and trailing spaces or reverse the result.
  4. Click the Trim button(5).
  5. Check the right panel(10) for generated result.
